A veteran’s rerun of Rodeo Stampede
From the 6th to the 10th of March
This wasn’t actually a full week, as I started this all on Wednesday, but I still made progress.
First order of business was checking out the “new” Ocean Zoo and… holy smokes it’s exactly what I wished for back in 2020 and then some. A new mechanic to learn for the first time and a great variety of different aquatic species, like it should be for an ocean level. 10/10 too much water.
I’ll give my thoughts on the different animals here:
- Clownfish: Perfectly useful basic animal. Kinda funny
- Blueberry the Crab: I don’t really get the hang of this one (yet). The throw is honestly the most awkward one in the game

Getting my money to the 32bit integer limit
This is some information about getting to the absolute money limit that a user can reach on rodeo stampede.
As Rodeo Stampede is a unity based game, the most likely limit is an 32 bit integer limit, which is 2.1 billion coins. But there are some other possibilities, as there is also an unsigned 32 bit integer limit, which is around 4.2 billion coins. In the worse case scenario there is an 64 bit integer limit which i will never reach.
There is an extremely high case that this won't be the exact limit, as the highest amount of coins from the shop 307900 coins is. Which is an uneven number, this can lead to going over the limit and going into the negatives or returning to 0.
A side effect of doing this is getting an giant amount of badges.

Islands Retool
Considering the Islands idea on the new zones talk page is something I wasn't able to truly take advantage of (And also is kinda dead), I feel like taking a crack at it.
Same rules apply as back there - 8 species Sky Zoo zone themed around the Galapagos Islands and Madagascar. I'll try to use animals that won the initial votings, but will switch things up a bit for the sake of making it more interesting! (And also replacing Crabs since they were added to Ocean). I added an 8th animal to the zone to make it stand out more from the others and also take advantage of the devs not really seeming to care about hard limits to zone species now (Jurassic has 9 now, and Ocean is almost two zones worth of species).

Second Ocean Zoo Zone: Abyss
The Abyss is an idea I came up with, and would be the Ocean Zoo's second zone. It's a deep sea area that takes place in an ocean trench.
Besides oxygen bubbles, purple pressure bubbles must be collected as well to survive. These appear scattered across the map randomly.
- Snailfish
- Behavior: Swims slowly when wild, speeds up a bit when ridden, slows down and steering stiffens when angry.
- Upgrades:
- Level 1: Ride for 4 extra seconds before a snailfish turns angry (by default takes 2 seconds to get angry)
- Level 2: Slightly faster when ridden
- Level 3: Steering is easier when angry
- Level 4: Oxygen depletes 5% slower

Hello everyone! Been a looong time since I made one of these. But there's been a lot of really exciting news and developments happening with the game lately, so here I am! Here's the latest news:
I've been lured out of hiding by the new Ocean update, which brings a new zoo and zone, with currently 4 new species (and 2 more new species are confirmed too, more on this later!)

One thing most players have found is that you can only play twice every 6 hours, one of which requiring an ad. I personally don't like this, but it's nice to see new animals. My personal opinion: the new update is flawed, but it's nice to see …
Legendary Animals XP
So right now, most (if not all) articles about Legendary animals mention that the animal gives 25 XP. And that is not true. I have tried with many Legendary animals the XP Farming method, and all give 30 XP, not 25.
Here's a bit of evidence. I was grinding XP for the bear habitat using the Beaver Bear (since it gives the most XP, and I don't have the Vlambeer). I marked my XP at 492 before continuing the XP farming. Then I used the XP Farming method, and died. Then I saw the XP of the bear habitat. It was at 522 XP. The difference between 492 and 522 is 30, not 25.

When touching the rocks the player dies, when in the cacti the cacti is stuck to the player disabling it to change animal or tame a new one, in the branches the player is trapped between them making it only possible for him to get out of there 1m-3m later depending on the branch size, Clay walls do not let the player through and tall grass makes it difficult for the player to see.

It's late, but it's finally here. The biggest event of the year, the Fifth Anniversary Event has arrived!. You can get any animal and hat you previously missed, as well as 5 new animals and 4 new hats.
Many people have reported issues where their game freezes once they're introduced to the badges. If this has happened to you, please be patient. Yodo1 know about this issue and they're working on a fix for this which should be released soon. Do not delete the game and reinstall, as you will very likely lose your progress, given that the save system doesn't work reliably in this game, especially on Android.

Golden ostrich glitch or secret
I know this doesn’t really look like something to debate, but think about it.Let’s start with reasons why this is a secret. I’ve gotten this glitch but with a zebra instead of an ostrich. Where you’re out in the open with no obstacles to stop you. The ostrich is the fastest animal in the game, meaning if it was meant to be a secret and get you high scores. Why would you use a slow animal and bore the player, while an ostrich only gets faster, and faster, and faster. The velocorapture is an idea for a new raptor. The velocorapture would be a white raptor with a yellow halo over its head and two white wings. The velocorapture is a mix of the word velocoraptor and rapture. A rapture is where Jesus comes to collect all the good people and take them to heaven. Anyone who would go to hell is left behind. When I woke up and get my goodies, not only did I have enough money to upgrade my Emu habitat to level 8, but I also found the Fiery Emu available as a boss mission and it only took 3 attempts to get it (one of which was because I got an ad and Fiery Emu was stupidly away)

The event is an exact copy of the 2018 Halloween Event, but there's a lot to enjoy, such as scaring off ghosts, the decorations and of course the EPIC music.

My Hat in the Game
Well, how do I start. Normally I'd be honoured and proud to see my design in the game, as people should normally feel when they win a contest. But personally, I'm extremely disappointed with how this all panned out.
First is the sheer amount of time it took to release these. As of writing this blog, the hat and animal from the Savannah Design Contest have not yet been released for Apple.
