The Coral Trout is a representation of a real-life coral trout. It has a small, streamlined body, coloured slightly pink, with tiny grey dots all over its body. It also has a dorsal fin, and two small pectoral fins.

Its bright color helps it hide in coral reefs and ambush its prey.
