The Forest Buffalo is the second type of buffalo, and can be obtained after the player befriends the Zebra.
Appearance[]
The Forest Buffalo, like the Cape Buffalo, looks like a smaller, regular real-life forest buffalo, with dirty-white horns beginning more vertically and then upwards, a brown body, legs that gradually fade to peanut brown, a brown nose, dark brown hooves and a brown tail with a yellowish-white tip.
Description[]
A leaner breed of buffalo that prefers to hide among the trees.
Requirements[]
- Cape Buffalo and Zebra tamed.
- Ride past 150m in Savannah.
Note: Its chance of appearing is high but not guaranteed due to it being a tier 2 animal. It will appear often but not necessarily in every run, and never before 150m.

- The description is a reference to the Forest Buffalo's real life counterpart, an African forest buffalo, and its behaviour.
- The Forest Buffalo is one of four animals that reference a real life buffalo, the other three being the Cape Buffalo, the Water Buffalo and the Bison.
- The Forest Buffalo had a different description in version 0.1.0 in the soft launch. It was previously "A smaller variety of buffalo, which is brown like the trees.".
