The Frillbug is the eighth pillbug in the game. It can be found in the stampede when the player upgrades their pillbug habitat to level 9.
Appearance[]
The Frillbug is a pink variant of the Pillbug, with its hard plates being replaced with rigid white frills, like frills seen on a dress. These frills, however, stand up stiff and have an edge texture similar to cardboard, with patterning on each face to give a wavy illusion. Bright red light and multicoloured sparkles, similar to those of the Zegasus, are emitted from its abdomen. Its antennae are mauve at the base and fade into white at the tips.

Requirements[]
- Space Zoo upgraded to Garden 2 or greater.
- Pillbug tamed.
- Pillbug habitat upgraded to level 9.
- Ride past 1600m in Garden.
Note: Its chance of appearing is extremely low due to it being a tier 5 animal. It will appear randomly but very rarely, and never before 1600m.

- The Frillbug is a play on rhyme, with "frill" of "Frillbug" rhyming with "pill" of "pillbug".
- The description references how ballet dancers tend to have frills as a part of their dresses, in the word "pirouettes".
