The Gnarlyak Tree is the fourth yak that can be found in the stampede.
Appearance[]
The Gnarlyak Tree resembles a tree, with its legs, horns and face sporting a dark brown woody texture, being brown with darker wood grains running down each part. Its horns are shaped like branches, with three sub-branches and three small green leaves sprouting off each horn. The mop of hair on top of its head is green and resembles grass. Its fur is shaggy and the same shade of green with yellow-centred white flowers dotted around, looking like a bush of some sort.

The gruffest, grumpiest mound of vegetation you'll ever meet.
Requirements[]
- Sky Zoo upgraded to Mountains 3 or greater.
- Yak tamed.
- Ride past 1300m in Mountains.
Note: Its chance of appearing is low due to it being a tier 4 animal. It will appear randomly but not often, and never before 1300m.

- The Gnarlyak Tree is a play on a gnarly tree, a tree which is old and very twisted.
- The description plays on a yak's behavioural characteristics.

- The Gnarlyak Tree was released in version 1.1.0 on the 26th of July 2016 along with Mountains and all other Mountains species.
- The Baby Gnarlyak Tree was bugged in version 1.27.2, appearing as completely cream white.
