The Manticore is the fifth griffin in the game by zoo order. It can be found in the stampede when the player upgrades their griffin habitat to level 2 or higher.
Appearance[]
The Manticore, similarly to the Chimera, is predominantly based on a lion. Its main fur colour is orange, with orange being the colour of its face, body and legs. At each foot, the orange fades into a strong red, and at its upper back, the orange and red connect at a zig-zag pattern. The Manticore has a red mane and two pointy triangle-shaped ears. It also has red wings, and a red tail that is segmented and thicker than usual, with a small hooked barb on the end, like a scorpion's.
Description[]
A dangerous winged lion with a scorpion tail. Ancient travellers always carried a laser pointer and balls of yarn in case they were attacked.
Requirements[]
- Space Zoo upgraded to Olympus 2 or greater.
- Griffin tamed.
- Griffin habitat upgraded to level 2 or higher.
- Ride past 1300m in Olympus.
Note: Its chance of appearing is low due to it being a tier 4 animal. It will appear randomly but not often, and never before 1300m.

- The Manticore is a reference to the mythological Manticore in appearance and part of its description.
- Part of its description references a domesticated cat's trait of chasing laser pointers and balls of yarn, making the description humorous.
Notes[]
- The Manticore was released on the 18th of August 2017 in version 1.10.0 along with Olympus and the first five Olympus species.
- The Baby Manticore, upon release, had blurry eyes. This was fixed at an unknown date.
