The Mecha Crane is the eleventh VIP animal.

Appearance[]

The Mecha Crane shares a body similar to the Crane. Its body is entirely made up of mechanical parts, referring to the 'Mecha' part of its name, with a glowing red being the main colour, as well as black. It has a long, dark, neck, with two cords coming from the shoulders connecting to the white head, and large, red ears. Its wings each have a propeller on the main part, and red coloured feathers extending from the metal base of the wings. Its body is a blank black, all the way down the end of the tail, which is the same red as the feathers and ears. Small, yellow markings can be seen on the wings, in three places on each wing. Its eyes are red squares, connecting to the long, black beak. Red lights and orange boosters are emitted from the Mecha Crane when ridden.

Description[]

Flies faster than a rocket ship.

Requirements[]

  • Spend enough real money in the game to reach VIP level 10 (amount varies per country and currency).

Abilities[]

  • Ride for an extra 6s before Mecha Crane gets angry[1]
  • Get bonus coins for swooping on Mecha Crane
  • More control when Mecha Crane is diving
  1. Note: The ability is an improvement on those of upgraded cranes, which the Mecha Crane is based on.

Behaviour[]

  • When ridden: The Mecha Crane flies in the air, being able to avoid all ground level obstacles but not arches against the walls, central rocks or flagpoles along the wall edges.
  • When angry: The Mecha Crane swoops down, with its swoop pattern consisting of an equal time in the air and swooping along the ground. It is harder to steer, with a delay being present when the player attempts to turn.
  • In habitat: The Mecha Crane struts around, occasionally twitching its head and pecking the ground to its right.
    • Selected in habitat: The Mecha Crane flaps its wings rapidly twice.

Trivia[]

  • The Mecha Crane is a part of the Mecha Team, also including the Mecha Panda and Mecha Pangolin. 'Mecha' derives from the anime/manga genre of Japanese popular culture, typically involving fighting robots.
    • The robotic look of the Mecha Crane reflects this.
    • The description is structured in the same way as the Mecha Panda's and the Mecha Pangolin's, further establishing the unified nature of the Mecha Team.

Notes[]

  • The Mecha Crane was released in version 1.24.0 on the 23rd of October 2019 on iOS and the 25th of October on Android, along with all pangolins, roosters, kirins, and all other VIP animals.
  • In version 1.26.1 on the 17th of February 2020, the Mecha Crane gained abilities that made it equal to an upgraded crane, with some improved attributes.
  • "More control when Mecha Crane are diving" contains a mistake. "Are" should be written as "is".
    • This may be due to the ability being directly copied from the habitat upgrades of the crane habitat.
      • This was fixed at an unknown date.
