The Mecha Panda is the tenth VIP animal.

Appearance[]

The Mecha Panda shares a body similar to the Panda. Its body is made of entirely of mechanical parts, (hinting the name, Mecha Panda), white with dark grey patterning resembling that of a rocket ship. Its eyes are replaced by glowing cyan plates, and a small circular yellow light sits in the middle of its forehead. On its sides are plates attached from its shoulder to its rear, connected by a blue hinge and featuring the number 10. Decals on this plate include a flowing yellow and grey line, giving the appearance that it is a ribbon twisted around itself, and two small yellow tabs. Dark grey tubes are also attached, leading to its rear. The Mecha Panda has two sets of wings pointing diagonally upwards; one set is cyan, with a grey edge with small white stripes; the other is white with a grey leading edge, featuring two small yellow tabs.

Description[]

Eats more than a garbage truck.

Requirements[]

  • Spend enough real money in the game to reach VIP level 10 (amount varies per country and currency).

Abilities[]

  • Mecha Panda can bump into small animals to stay happy
  • Ride for an extra 6s before Mecha Panda gets angry[1]
  • Get bonus coins by bumping into other animals on Mecha Panda
  1. Note: The ability is an improvement on those of upgraded pandas, which the Mecha Panda is based on.

Behaviour[]

  • When ridden: The Mecha Panda starts slow and can bump small animals, which allows the player to ride it for longer. As it gets closer to becoming angry, it speeds up.
  • When angry: The Mecha Panda slows down, bucks the player up and sits on the player, similarly to hippos.
  • In habitat: The Mecha Panda mostly remains curled up, sleeping. It will occasionally look up while still curled up, and let out a small yawn.
    • Selected in habitat: The Mecha Panda stands up and lunges, roaring from right to left.

Trivia[]

  • The Mecha Panda is a part of the Mecha Team, also including the Mecha Crane and Mecha Pangolin. 'Mecha' derives from the anime/manga genre of Japanese popular culture, typically involving fighting robots.
    • The robotic look of the Mecha Panda reflects this.
    • The description references the fact that pandas eat around 20-40 pounds of bamboo per day.[1]
      • It is structured in the same way as the Mecha Crane's and the Mecha Pangolin's, further establishing the unified nature of the Mecha Team.
  • The number 10 on the Mecha Panda's side may reference how the Mecha Panda is unlocked at VIP level 10.

Notes[]

  • The Mecha Panda was released in version 1.24.0 on the 23rd of October 2019 on iOS and the 25th of October on Android, along with all pangolins, roosters, kirins and other VIP animals.
  • In version 1.26.1 on the 17th of February 2020, the Mecha Panda gained abilities that made it equal to an upgraded panda, with some improved attributes.
