Ocean Zoo

The Ocean Zoo was released in version 2.0.0 on the 14th of April 2022. It can be unlocked when the player upgrades their Sky Zoo to Savannah 4. It is the hub for all Ocean animals. The Ocean Zoo is an airship with an open top, designed to look like a fish with red fins on each side and at the entrance.

Mechanics

Ocean Zoo zones can be played two times for free and can then be played two additional times via watching an ad. The player will have to wait 6 hours for one recharge. Some Ocean animal upgrades, such as clownfish and squid, reduce the recharge time between plays.

Ocean Zoo zones are characterised by the player having an O² bar, which depletes over time. The player must reach bubbles in order to refill their O² bar slightly and allow the player to ride for longer in the stampede.

NOTE: We are currently in the process of checking this information, it may not be completely accurate yet. To upgrade Ocean Zoo habitats, the player must accumulate distance in Ocean. The first upgrade is when the player has travelled a total of 2000m in Ocean. Each upgrade is available after the player travels 500m more total distance than the previous upgrade, with the first upgrade starting at 4000m. In mathematical terms, this rule can be expressed as $d_n = 3500 + 500n, n = 1, 2, 3,...$, where $d$ is the distance required for the $nth$ upgrade. So the first upgrade is after accumulating 4000m, the second is after accumulating 4500m more, the third is after accumulating 5000m more, etc. The player does not need to do this in one run, they can accumulate the distance required for the next upgrade, and the game will provide an update each run on how many total metres are required until the next upgrade. Once the player reaches a habitat upgrade milestone, the next upgrade will be available with a total distance required of 500m more than previously.

The player also can only ride Ocean Zoo animals in Ocean Zoo zones, meaning animals from Sky Zoo and Space Zoo can't be used. Ocean Zoo animals also can't be used in any other zoo. This is also applied to baby animals. Animals from the Ocean Zoo also have their own Breeding Pen.

• The Ocean Zoo is the first zoo in which zones do not have missions.
• Upon release, every time the player opens its zoo in the Ocean Zoo, there would be no vehicle to transport the people to the zoo, and the gates wouldn't open. Instead, the people would just appear out of nowhere, and walk through the gate as if the gates were opened.
• Upon release, the outback park could be seen behind the shark habitat, and in front of the breeding pen. This was fixed in version 2.1.1.
