The Quarter-Yak is the ninth yak in the game. It was first released as a part of the Second Anniversary Event.
Appearance[]
The Quarter-Yak has mallow coloured feet and fur, and has a dark mauve tail. Its head is a similar colour to its tail. On its head is a white American football helmet, complete with a grey three-barred grille and a red stripe running vertically down the centre. Its horns are coloured a bold red, either jutting out the sides of its helmet or being a part of the helmet itself. On its 'torso', the Quarter-Yak wears a classic shoulder-padded American football jersey, coloured red and with the number '2' embossed on its back and sleeves. Finally, the Quarter-Yak wears a pair of white shorts covering its backside.

Note: Its chance of appearing is extremely low due to it being a tier 5 animal. It will appear randomly but very rarely, and never before 800m.

- The Quarter-Yak's number, number 2, references the Second Anniversary Event, the event it was initially released in.
- Its name is a play on the word "quarterback", a player positioned behind the center who directs a team's offensive play during an American football game, often regarded as the most important player in a football side.
- Its description is also a pun on the fact that yaks are quadrupeds, and football is a game that doesn't actually use feet for the majority of the game. It is possible that the description is being said in a sarcastic tone due to this, being ironic in poking fun at the unintuitive name of "football".
- The Quarter-Yak is one of two animals that is based on a quarterback, the other being the Quarterback Gorilla.
