The Savannah Design Contest was one of the social events instigated alongside the Fourth Anniversary Event, along with the Brag Event and the Global Collection of Gifts. Entries were accepted from June 19th to July 9th, and voting occurred from the 14th to the 19th of July, 2020.

The event required players to draw a new animal and costume design, as a duo. The only permitted animals were:

To enter, players would submit their drawing of an original animal and costume combination as a comment on KTplay. Submissions were initially supposed to last one week, however the cut-off date was never enforced. The event was then supposed to end on the 3rd of July 2020, however, this was also not enforced, which led to the event being extended to the 9th of July. This date was still not enforced, with entries continuing to be submitted after this date, however no entries after the 9th were shortlisted for final voting.
On the 14th of July 2020, a post was created for voting. 10 animals and 10 costumes were independently shortlisted as finalists by developers, which players could vote for. Only 3 entries had both the animal and costume of the duo shortlisted. Voting ended on the 19th of July 2020, at 16:00 UTC.
The winning designs were released and sent out on the 15th of September 2020 on Android, almost 2 months after voting closed.
