The Scarab Beetle is the eighth beetle that can be found in the game. It can be found in the stampede when the player upgrades their beetle habitat to level 9.
Appearance[]
The Scarab Beetle has a light shiny royal blue protective casing separated horizontally by a lustrous gold beam. All of the Scarab Beetle's remaining features, including its legs, head and mandibles are also lustrous and gold. Unlike other beetles, the Scarab Beetle has fixed, rigid wings stretching out perpendicular to its body, coloured gold with darker gold accents. Held in its mandibles is a large red jewel, cut in a classical diamond shape.

Requirements[]
- Space Zoo upgraded to Garden 4 or greater.
- Beetle tamed.
- Beetle habitat upgraded to level 9.
- Ride past 1600m in Garden.
Note: Its chance of appearing is extremely low due to it being a tier 5 animal. It will appear randomly but very rarely, and never before 1600m.

- The Scarab Beetle is a play on scarab beetles, which in turn plays on how scarab beetles were incorporated in jewellery in Ancient Egyptian times, hence its shiny, golden appearance, and its jewel held between its mandibles.
- Its description references this.
- The Baby Scarab Beetle's crate and mission bonus abilities also references the jewellery theme, particularly how jewellery is precious and valuable.
- The Scarab Beetle is one of five animals having an Ancient Egypt theme, the others being Taweret, Pharaohdactyl, Anubis, and Hierogryphon.

- The Scarab Beetle was released in version 1.16.0 on the 8th of May 2018 on Android and on the 10th of May 2018 on iOS, along with all other beetles, centipedes and butterflies.
- On iOS, all beetles, centipedes and butterflies were bugged, not appearing in the stampede up until version 1.16.1 on the 14th of May 2018.
