Horses are the first species of animal available in the Great Wall zone and the twenty-sixth animal species in the Space Zoo. Horses are bucking animals. There are 9 different types of horses. Like all Space Zoo animals, more horses are unlocked progressively as the player upgrades the horse habitat. They can be unlocked when the player upgrades their ship to Great Wall 1.

Behaviour[]
- Wild: They move relatively slowly in packs, being greater in numbers before 1000m.
- When ridden: Horses move at a steady pace.
- When angry: Horses gallop jerkily at a quick rate.
- In habitat: Horses walk around, but spend most of their time with their head down, grazing. Occasionally, they'll shake their heads, and return to grazing.
- Selected in habitat: Horses rear up onto their hind legs and neigh, with front legs in the air.
Tips[]
Horses are a steady animal when not angry, and can assist the player by moving towards their lasso when the player is in the air (level 7). They can be used especially when the player is in trouble past 2000m. However, horses are difficult to control when angry, and get angry quickly, so the player needs to be careful or jump to another animal quite quickly. Angry horses are fast enough to run past arrows before they land though.
Habitat Upgrades[]
- Level 1 - Ride for an extra 2s before a horse gets angry
- Level 2 - Add two new rare horses to the stampede (Trojan Horse, War Horse)
- Level 3 - Get bonus coins while bucking on horses
- Level 4 - Energy drains 10% slower in the Great Wall
- Level 5 - Add two new rare horses to the stampede (Business Horse, Rainbow Horse)
- Level 6 - Horses gallop more slowly when angry
- Level 7 - While you are in the air, horses move towards your lasso
- Level 8 - 2x more rare horses the stampede
- Level 9 - Add a new rare Horse to the stampede (White Dragon Horse)

- Horses were released on the 28th of January 2019 in version 1.22.0 along with Great Wall and the remaining original Great Wall species.
