Octopuses are the ninth species of animal available in the Ocean zone. Octopuses are vaulting animals. There are 8 different types of octopuses.

Behaviour[]
- Wild: Octopuses move relatively slowly and vault over coral and rocks.
- When ridden: Octopuses move at a faster pace, vaulting over coral, and rocks if the player has upgraded their octopus habitat to level 3.
- When angry: Octopuses throw the player off with their tentacles.
- In habitat: Octopuses swim around, and hop once from time to time.
- Selected in habitat: Octopuses jump and twirl around in a circle.
Tips[]
Octopuses, like manta rays and dolphins, can be used to avoid the stampede, by vaulting over coral and rocks. However, this comes at a cost. Octopuses cannot smash anything, so the player can also crash on one mid-air. They also share the same weaknesses as manta rays and dolphins, being that they can miss oxygen bubbles. Octopuses do not have the same oxygen bonus that manta rays and dolphins do, so octopuses must be ridden carefully.
Habitat Upgrades[]
- Level 1 - 2x more octopuses in the stampede
- Level 2 - Ride for an extra 1s before an octopus gets angry
- Level 3 - Allows an octopus to vault over rocks
- Level 4 - Landing on an octopus does not reduce your lasso size
- Level 5 - Gain 50% more ticket money from octopuses
- Level 6 - Better steering while gliding down on octopuses
- Level 7 - Get bonus coins by vaulting on octopuses
- Level 8 - While you are in the air, octopuses move towards your lasso
- Level 9 - 1x more rare octopuses in the stampede
Notes[]
- Octopuses were released in version 2.14.0 on the 14th of January 2023.
- The level 9 octopus habitat upgrade is an error, with its effect being trivial.
- Upon release, the level 7 octopus upgrade did not give coins when the ridden octopus vaults over an obstacle.
