The Stegosaurus is the first stegosaurus that the player can discover in the stampede.
Appearance
The Stegosaurus has a small head with a pointy white nose, four short, stubby legs, with the front two being noticeably smaller than the back two, a humped back that is much higher than its head, and a barbed tail which stretches back at a similar height to its back. The majority of the Stegosaurus is coloured purple, with its two rows of plates lining the whole of its back being coloured otherwise: a matte red and purple blend.
Description
Stegosaurouses are a type of armoured dinosaur. The function of the plates on its back are still widely debated.
Requirements
- Space Zoo upgraded to Jurassic 6 or greater.
- Ride past 1000m in Jurassic.

Trivia
- The Stegosaurus' colouring is unlikely to reflect that of stegosauruses in real life, with the purple colour likely chosen for added vibrancy.
Notes
- The Stegosaurus was released on the 22nd of June 2017 in version 1.9.0 along with all other stegosauruses.
- The Baby Stegosaurus' abilities appeared to be a mistake, as the base animal, being the least rare animal of each series, is supposed to have the worst baby animal abilities, and the Baby Stegosaurus' abilities were very good for any animal. Comparatively, the Baby Sparkosaurus had far worse abilities, which suggested that the two abilities were likely to have been switched.
- This was corrected in version 1.15.0 on the 22nd of March, along with the remaining stegosaurus baby abilities being changed. The original abilities were "Animals get angry 6% slower", "Eating animals is 12% more effective" and "Bucks are 9% smaller".
