The Taweret is the seventh hippo the player can find. Like all other level 9 animals, it can only be found in the stampede when the player upgrades the hippo habitat to level 9.
Appearance[]
The Taweret is mostly teal in colour, with the underside of its torso being a dull beige colour. Its eyes have distinct thick black outlines, similar in style to ancient Egypt deities. Around the top of its body is a replication of what is usually interpreted as Taweret's (which the Taweret is based on) hair (see image in link). It is deep navy with gold decorations. Around each of its ankles are bands coloured gold, navy and gold again.

Requirements[]
- Sky Zoo upgraded to Jungle 2 or greater.
- Hippo tamed.
- Hippo habitat upgraded to level 9.
- Ride past 1700m in Jungle.
Note: Its chance of appearing is low due to it being a tier 4 animal. It will appear randomly but not often, and never before 1700m.

Trivia[]
- The Taweret is a reference to Taweret, an ancient Egyptian goddess often represented as a bipedal hippo.
- The description plays on some of the epithets commonly associated with Taweret, with "Lady of heaven" and "She who removes water" being changed in the description to "lardy of heaven" and "retainer of waters" respectively. This plays on a hippo being known to be big, or lardy, and to sit in water for long periods of time.
- The Taweret is one of five animals having an Ancient Egypt theme, the others being Pharaohdactyl, Anubis, Scarab Beetle, and Hierogryphon.

- The Taweret was released on the 8th of September 2016 in version 1.2.0, along with all other Savannah, Jungle and Mountains level 9 animals.
- The description contained a minor error in that "the" was capitalised incorrectly.
