The Water Dragon is the sixth Chinese dragon in order in the zoo. It is a secret animal, meaning that the player has to complete a secret mission to see and tame it.
Appearance[]
The Water Dragon has the same base appearance as the Chinese Dragon, although it is predominantly bright green or aqua in colour. The Water Dragon has several additions that suit its aquatic nature, with a dark green tailfin, fish-like in appearance, webbed, fin like ears, with green bones and a beige membrane, and webbed claws. Lined up the whole way down its body is a row of dark green spikes, each curving slightly backwards. Its jaw, teeth and whiskers are coloured a ghostly cyan, while protruding from its mouth is a forked red tongue. The Water Dragon also has red eyes.

Requirements[]
- Great Wall 1 unlocked.
- Chinese Dragon tamed.
- Ride a single monkey for 24 seconds in Great Wall.
- The player must restart the 24 seconds if they crash before completing it.
- A tip is to use a baby animal that either boosts riding speed, to reach obstacles faster and prevent the monkey from getting angry earlier, or makes animals get angry slower, allowing the monkey to get to the obstacle before it gets angry.
- Some good options are the Baby Bufferrari and Baby Skyunk which are both relatively easy to get and employ both attributes, increasing riding speed highly.
Note: Due to it being a secret animal, it will appear every time the player completes the above requirements.

Trivia[]
- The Water Dragon is a reference to Jiaolong of Chinese mythology. "Water Dragon" is a generic, rough translation of "Jiaolong".
- This is supported by the Chinese name in-game (蛟龙), and its Chinese description, which translates to "Said to be a dragon but is also not a dragon. If there is a flood, go and ask the dragon about it."
- The Baby Water Dragon's ability where animals are 15% faster in water references to how it's related to water.
- The game drops a hint about how to get the Water Dragon. Every now and then, the message "Monkeys love to throw you off, but how long could you hold on to one for?" will appear, however it would no longer appear once the player has tamed the Water Dragon.
- There is a popular myth that the Water Dragon can be discovered by vaulting 12 times on a single monkey.
- This can be proven to be time based.
- The myth can be proven true as long as you vault once every 2 seconds.

- The Water Dragon was released in version 1.22.0 on the 28th of January 2019 along with Great Wall and the first five Great Wall species.
- The Water Dragon is one of many animals that has bugged textures, in this case, the inside edges of its eyes.
