The Yak is the first yak that the player can find in the stampede.
Appearance[]
The Yak is an accurate representation of a real life yak, with its thick, shaggy fur coat coloured brown and its legs showing underneath. Its horns are coloured a darker shade of brown, which happens to be the same colour as the thick layer of hair on top of its head. Just under the mop of hair, on top of its head are two kite-shaped ears. The neck and the head of the Yak is a slightly lighter shade of brown compared to the thick layer of hair on the rest of the body.

A long-haired bovid found in southern Central Asia. A gentle giant, with a tendency to smash anything it touches.

- The description references both its real life behavioural characteristics and its in-game behaviour.
- The Baby Yak also references its gentleness in real life.
Notes[]
- The Yak was released in version 1.1.0 on the 26th of July 2016 along with Mountains and all other Mountains species.
- The description contained a spelling error in that "tendancy" should have been spelt as 'tendency'.
- This was corrected in version 1.15.0 on the 22nd of March 2018.
